Legends carry truth where unbelief

Cannot harm;

There is no doubting of a tale

That bears witness by its own inner mark;

Its inner strength can be relied upon

To explain reality and by resisting it
            Never weaken it;

He who would parry ancient legend to 

Suit himself sets himself a god against the light

Sent only to lighten him and set him free.
