When
you have been cast out and rejected for speaking the truth in love, and even by
those whom you always considered your friends, you are surprised. When you have
been despised and hated in people’s subconscious mind for Jesus’ sake for
living the saving truth in gentleness, patience and love, and these people
disappear out of your life, and you find yourself alone where you live with your
beloved...you are even more surprised. And when your amazement at your
rejection sinks in and it makes you love people even more; and in his love for
them you die even more, you look for other ways to express the truth that is in
you which the world in its current state of blindness cannot understand. ...Hence
the encoding of his loving message in you in various ciphers and drawings and
stories and parables. And the disciples
came, and said unto him, Why speakest thou unto them in parables? He answered
and said unto them, Because it is given unto you to
know the mysteries of the kingdom of heaven, but to them it is not given. For
whosoever hath, to him shall be given, and he shall have more abundance: but
whosoever hath not, from him shall be taken away even that he hath. Therefore
speak I to them in parables: because they seeing see not; and hearing they hear
not, neither do they understand. And in them is fulfilled the prophecy of
Esaias, which saith, BY HEARING YE SHALL HEAR, AND SHALL NOT UNDERSTAND; AND
SEEING YE SHALL SEE, AND SHALL NOT PERCEIVE: FOR THIS PEOPLE’S HEART IS WAXED
GROSS, AND THEIR EARS ARE DULL OF HEARING, AND THEIR EYES THEY HAVE CLOSED;
LEST AT ANY TIME THEY SHOULD SEE WITH THEIR EYES AND HEAR WITH THEIR EARS,
AND SHOULD UNDERSTAND WITH THEIR HEART, AND SHOULD BE CONVERTED, AND I SHOULD
HEAL THEM. And the living
understanding of these words of Jesus, the unravelling of their riddle and the
unveiling of the mystery has been taught me in the depths of my spirit,
learning in him through the things which I have suffered. And this glorious
understanding he hides from the wise and prudent, for it is only foolishness to
them and he will not trouble them. He leaves them to themselves and they are “left,” and are not “taken.”
