'DRAWING in the Spirit of God...' Part One...a life of love and delight within the Holy Grail... 'the glorious liberty...'

   As well as free-flow scribbling, and freestyle handwriting, I also love DRAWING and sketching. My life and manuscripts are filled with pen and ink drawings; these are “The Everland Cipher Drawings.” The drawings just come by themselves, it seems to me! I simply sit before a blank piece of 300gsm watercolour paper hold my pencil to the paper and without any thought draw the first thing that comes to me in the centre of the page. What I begin with grows, and grows, and then I find its edges, and draw in its margins, and its frames, last.

   This method of creating pictures fills me with joy. It seems that what is in me comes out in a spontaneous flow of creativity that guides my hand, showing me the wondrous secret things, of an inner life in the Light of God, teaching me, and delighting me, all at the same time!

   Of course, my DRAWINGS are childish, or childlike, and very simple, because I am not an artist; I have never been trained in any of the disciplines of the Art world. Whatever I draw or write is all out of the gift of a glorious liberty within me; won through suffering and a gift of faith; the joyous faith of a little child!
